Yes, its back for 2014! This classic course will follow, as near as possible, the same route that will be used for the 2014 Commonwealth Games in July. We have been awarded the Scottish Standard Distance Championships but I want to stress the event is open to “all-comers” and indeed Teams of 3 people looking to join together in relay are also invited.

Summer Training Weekend:13 – 15th June 2014.
Another great weekend planned by coaches Alan & Wendy. The weekend will focus on some great cycling, running and open water training, we will also concentrate on the Aberfeldy Middle Distance Triathlon routes, so a great weekend if you have entered this race. However, the weekend is open to everyone and all abilities and the training sessions will be planned to suit and groups will be organised so that no one is left behind. The weekend will also give you a great opportunity to experience or brush up on your open water swimming. The OW sessions will not be coached, however we will have a designated area to swim in at Loch Tay.

Join The Glasgow Triathlon Club
Triathlon is one of the fastest growing mass participation sports in Britain – and anyone who has become a fan of the multi-discipline sport will know why. The weekly sessions held in and around Glasgow are suitable for beginners through to experienced athletes. The first coached training session, whether swimming, running or spinning, is free. After that you can attend another two training sessions for the usual cost of between £2 to £3 per session, before you’re encouraged to join the club for an annual membership of just £30 (Students £14-£22). The membership fee includes an exclusive GTC branded running vest. Juniors can join our popular newly established junior section for £14 and get 50% off club kit. Next up is the Sprint distance, which most reasonably fit athletes can complete comfortably. After this you might want to progress to the Standard distance triathlon, then the Half Ironman and even a full Ironman. GTC is also responsible for the organisation of many races, including the Bishopbriggs Sprint, The Official Tighnabruaich Triathlon , Strathclyde Standard and the kids aquathlon series.
